Coaching
Tri Faster offers one-on-one coaching services to assist athletes in designing and modifying an appropriate training plan or to focus in on sport specific skill work. Our personalized training programs are tailored to your needs, whether you are a beginner wishing to finish your first triathlon or an experienced triathlete wanting to set personal records. We do not use canned programs to develop your training plan, but create individualized plans based on your unique needs. Our expertise includes not only specific training advice, but triathlon strategy, race-day nutrition, and how to balance a triathlon lifestyle with work, school, and family.

Weekly Training Program [More Information...]
This program is ideal for athletes who wants to work closely with Lauren Jensen. This level of personal coaching will allow you to pursue your goals in an efficient and effective manner. The weekly coaching option is ideal for dedicated athletes trying to achieve a higher level of performance as well as seriously busy individuals who needs a streamlined, productive program. The weekly coaching plan offers a high level coaching service with frequent personal communication and close monitoring of your training. This program sells out every year since it is available to only a small number of athletes. It features:
- Our highest level of service including a personalized, detailed training program that is sent via e-mail each week. Training program fine-tuned weekly based on your response to training. - Comprehensive movement assessment and review of training history and goals. - Frequent and ongoing access to the coach via e-mail and telephone appointments with priority status (i.e. - your concerns are addressed first). - Personalized strength training program with updates as needed. - Free entry to Tri Faster hosted classes and clinics (does not include charity events). - Discounts on classes hosted by the WAC and other affiliated organizations that Tri Faster leads. - Pre-race call or meeting to discuss a race plan and preparation for your “A” race. - Post-race e-mails or call to review your race performances for future planning. - Tri Faster Team membership (with the more generous discounts described just above) included.

Monthly Training Program [More Information...]
This option is ideal for athletes who want the benefits of a customized training program but are able to operate with a bit more autonomy. Training plans are sent every 4 weeks. Athletes in this program still get the specific workouts they need to reach their goals, but have more responsibility in adjusting the training on their own when “life happens”. The monthly coaching program is ideal for athletes who have worked with Lauren in past seasons, who have a very consistent life schedule, and are rarely injured. This program features:
- A personalized, detailed training program that is sent via e-mail each month. Training program fine-tuned monthly based on your response to training every 4 weeks. - Comprehensive movement assessment and review of training history and goals. - Frequent and ongoing access to the coach via e-mail and telephone appointments with second priority status (your e-mails and phone calls will be returned after the weekly athletes but before others). - Personalized strength training program at program onset with 50% discount on strength training program updates. - 50% off Tri Faster hosted classes and clinics (does not include charity events). - Discounts on classes hosted by the WAC and other affiliated organizations that Tri Faster leads. - Pre-race call or meeting to discuss a race plan and preparation for your “A” race. - Post-race e-mails or call to review your race performances for future planning. - Tri Faster Team membership (with the more generous discounts described just above) included.

8-Week Training Plans
General Consultation A one-time meeting to clarify your needs and provide a season training overview or other advice for your target race.

Private Swim Lesson [More Information...] Lessons are taught by Lauren Jensen at the Southwest YMCA in Greenfield, WI or an open water swim location. Lessons can be for one or two athletes of similar swimming ability attending together. You will receive video recorded stroke analysis and continue to improve your freestlye.
A typical lesson includes a written evaluation of your stroke as well as video above the water from the side and head-on. Our camera allows us to record you with high resolution at a slowed down speed so you can see everything when you view the recording. After the assessment we spend the rest of the time working on drills that will correct your swimming form. The evaluation is done using the same form used at our Swim Faster clinics that over 2000 athletes have attended. These my methods have been refined over many years and result in rapid changes to your swimming technique and speed.

Movement Analysis and Strength Training Plan [More Information...]
Having the right strength training program is critical to maximizing your performance and staying injury free. Many athletes skip strength training or follow the same unproductive strength training routine year after year. Now you can get the right strength training program customized for YOU! Physical therapist and pro triathlete, Lauren Jensen, will watch you run and move and will assess your strength training needs. Then she will design a strength training program customized for your needs.
