These are BYOBaT (bring your own bike and trainer) workouts that will allow you to practice your own bike position for maximum results. |

The secret to racing faster starts in the gym, so join Tri Faster for a program that redefines “hard core”. The Tri Faster Boot Camp will help you improve your strength, power, fat burning and speed in an action packed 60-minute workout. While this class is geared towards swimmers, runners, cyclists, and triathletes, but anyone who is serious about maximizing their strength and fitness is welcomed as a new recruit. |
Iron Endurance Clinics
These three-hour learn-while-you-train clinics have been redesigned for athletes of all levels training for any distance triathlon. Featuring Tri Faster's Lauren Jensen, you will learn from one of the area's top long distance professional triathletes while getting a challenging workout in two sports based on your fitness level. These are being held at top notch facilities in the Milwaukee area and each has a specific topic to help you improve your performance. Lauren will start with a short introductory lecture and then get you moving while providing more feedback and topic material.

- FEB 26, 2011: Triathlon Pacing and Effort. Lauren will introduce the topic with a short lecture and then provide cycling and swim workouts with time trials to determine your target paces for training and racing. The swim portion will be in the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center pool and cycling portion will use the adjacent Rite Hite YMCA group cycling studio.
- MAR 26, 2011: Personalized Hydration Planning. Using the group cycling studio and cushioned 1/6-mile indoor track at the Milwaukee Downtown YMCA, you will learn how to incorporate a sweat test to find your personal hyrdration needs for cycling and running.
- APR 9, 2011: Triathlon Technique and Training: Running drills will be taught during the run workout on the Rite Hite indoor track and treadmills. The swim portion with stroke feedback and drills from our Swim Faster clinics will be in the adjacent Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center pool.

Learn how to successfully train for half Ironman (70.3) and full Ironman distance triathlons. This lecture includes handouts with long course training plans.
Tri Basics
Presented by: Lauren Jensen, elite triathlete and physical therapist. This clinic is a must-do for triathletes training for sprint and Olympic distance triathlons. The clinic is for athletes who are in their first few years of triathlon training as well as athletes who want to try a triathlon but need some help getting started.
Learn the key workouts that Lauren Jensen recommends for beginner and intermediate triathletes. Her training recommendations are based on her multiple years of experience as a physical therapist, multisport coach and triathlete with 300 multisport races under her belt.
Athletes who attend will learn how to successfully compete in sprint and Olympic distance races following an effective and time-efficient training plan. They will also receive tips in selecting triathlon gear without breaking the bank. In addition, a handout with training ideas will be distributed, and there will be an opportunity to have training questions answered at the end of the clinic.
Tri Faster Quick Tips
Lauren Jensen will help you to have your best race possible. She will teach you some advice and tricks to improve your transitions, and performance in each leg of the triathlon. As this clinic is usually held the day prior to a triathlon, these practical tips can be used immediately to improve your racing the next day as well as for years to come. |
